St. Charles, MO

A day after announcing contract extensions for ten returning players, St. Louis Ambush owner Andrew Haines today announced the acquisition of the first newcomer to sign with the team during the off-season. Midfielder Bobby Hurwitz appeared in 13 games with the Seattle Impact last season, tallying four goals, two assists and five blocks.

Hurwitz was raised in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago. He attended William Fremd high school in nearby Palatine, Illinois. Hurwitz was named to the All-Conference and honorable mention All-Region team in 2008. After high school Bobby went on to play collegiate soccer at Robert Morris University as a wing-back where he registered 10 goals and 12 assists. In 2013 he signed with the Chicago Inferno PASL Premier team. In his spare time, Bobby enjoys working out and watching his favorite soccer team the Chelsea Blues.

The Ambush play in the Major Arena Soccer League and will begin their 2015-16 campaign this fall, with the schedule expected to be released by the league in late summer. Season tickets for next season are now on sale. Call the Ambush office at 636-477-6363 for more information.
