AMBUSH TO HOLD FINAL OPEN TRYOUTS FOR 2015-16 SEASON

by Jim Fossell

St. Charles, MO

The St. Louis Ambush have announced their final open tryouts prior to the 2015-16 season. Open tryouts offer prospective players the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in front of Head Coach Daryl Doran and staff. The final open tryouts are slated for Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13 at Vetta Sports, located at 1425 St Peters-Cottleville Road, St Peters, MO 63376.

Players who make it through the open tryouts will be invited to attend future training camps and practice sessions during the off-season. Open tryouts provide an opportunity for players to take a shot at earning a roster spot on the Ambush. Select players from the June tryouts will be invited to participate in the September tryout sessions as well. The Ambush will open training camp later this summer or early fall in preparation for the 2015-16 season, which will kick off in November.

Registration begins at noon each day, with sessions running from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Male soccer players ages 18 years and older are eligible to participate. College players with remaining eligibility could lose their eligibility by trying out and are advised to verify whether or not this is the case for the governing body they play under. Current professional players must have a letter of release from their current club in order to participate.

The fee to participate in open tryouts is $150. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis; walk-in players will not be granted a tryout. To register, click HERE.

The Ambush play in the Major Arena Soccer League and will begin their 2015-16 campaign this fall, with the schedule expected to be released by the league in late summer. Season tickets for next season are now on sale.
