AMBUSH HOST COMETS IN PRESEASON MATCH NOVEMBER 24

St. Charles, MO (October 16, 2018) – Professional indoor soccer comes to north county when the St. Louis Ambush host the cross-state rival Kansas City Comets in a preseason exhibition game Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the indoor arena at the Dellwood Recreation Center (right). Tickets are $5 at the door, which open at 5:00 p.m. (Fans two years old and younger are free.)

Head Coaches Hewerton Moreira of the Ambush and Kim Roentved of the Comets will use this match to evaluate talent and help to form their final 2018-19 MASL rosters. The Ambush and Comets were both part of the MASL Central Division the past two seasons and both will compete in the new South Central Division, along with the Orlando SeaWolves, Florida Tropics and Milwaukee Wave, for the 2018-19 season. 

The November 24 duel is one of two preseason matches the Ambush have scheduled ahead of the 2018-19 regular season. In the other contest, the Ambush host the Dallas Sidekicks November 18 at the Family Arena as part of their annual free Fan Fest. The November 24 match is currently scheduled to be Kansas City’s only preseason appearance.

Ambush CEO Shelly Clark said, “We look forward to hosting the Comets in this preseason match. The I-70 rivalry is one I particularly enjoy as I used to live in KC. Both cities have great fans and I’m curious to see how the teams will stack up.”

Both teams will be on-site with limited merchandise offerings to help fans prepare for the upcoming season as well.

All tickets are general admission and are $5 each at the door. (Two years of age and younger are free.)

The Ambush kick off their 2018-19 campaign with road games on November 30 at Orlando, December 1 at Florida and December 8 at Harrisburg. The upcoming season will consist of 24 games, with all 12 home games being played at the Family Arena in St. Charles. The home opener is slated for Sunday, December 16 at 3:05 p.m. CT when the Ambush host the Comets. Season tickets are now on sale and start as low as $150 for all 12 home games.
