Ahmadi said, “I am very excited for this opportunity to play for the St. Louis Ambush. I am committed to giving my all very single day and doing whatever it takes to help bring a championship back to this organization and its incredible fans this year!”

The Ambush host the Baltimore Blast in a two-game series this weekend at The Family Arena. On Friday, February 27, the two teams battle at 7:05 p.m. The rematch is set for Sunday, March 1 at 2:05 p.m.

St. Louis comes into the weekend in first place in the Major Arena Soccer League with an 11-3-3 (wins-losses-overtime losses) record. Baltimore is in fifth place with an 8-6-2 record. The Ambush have seven regular-season games remaining and are jockeying for a favorable seed in the playoffs. The Blast have eight games left and are working to secure a postseason berth.

Both teams have enjoyed recent success that they hope to build on as they maneuver for a playoff spot as the regular season winds down. The Ambush have won five in a row and seven of their last eight games. Baltimore has won three in a row and five of their last eight. The two teams have met once this season, with St. Louis winning the first encounter 7-3 on Baltimore’s home turf on February 14. The Ambush are 6-1-1 at home, while the Blast are 3-3-1 on the road and the fervent support of their avid fans could give the Ambush the advantage this weekend.

Following this weekend’s series against the Blast, the Ambush conclude their current home stand when they host the Empire Strykers on Saturday, March 7 at 6:05 p.m. CST.
