Ambush Announce Trade With Orlando

by Jim Fossell

St. Charles, MO (June 1, 2018) – The St Louis Ambush have traded Richard Schmermund to the Orlando Seawolves in exchange for future considerations. Per league and team policies, details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Schmermund had been with the Ambush since the team’s 2013-14 inaugural season. “Both Richard and Dylan (Hundelt, who signed with Orlando during the May free agency period) were looking for a new opportunity outside of St. Louis,” Ambush CEO Shelly Clark said. “Both are great players and we wish them well. Now we can focus on our roster and build a winner with players like Antonio Manfut, Paulo Nascimento, Clayton Matheus and MASL Defender of the Year Rob Acosta. We're hosting tryouts in Brazil in June and anticipate a strong showing.”

Clark concluded, “(Head Coach) Hewerton is putting together a roster that will continue to improve and compete this season. To do this, we will need players who want to be in St Louis and be a part of something special.”

The St Louis Ambush 2018-2019 season begins this December. Season tickets are now on sale. For the latest news and information be sure to follow the Ambush on our social media channels and at stlambush.com.
