St. Charles, Missouri (April 3, 2022) – The St. Louis Ambush are in the playoffs. The team ended up as the number seven seed in the Major Arena Soccer League’s Ron Newman Cup playoffs. They will face the Florida Tropics in the quarterfinal round, with a home game slated for next Friday, April 8 at 7:35 p.m. CDT at Axius Field at The Family Arena.

The Ambush came into the weekend needing to win a pair of games agains the Central Division Champion Kansas City Comets. Defying the odds, St. Louis came through by winning both games, an 8-3 triumph at The Family Arena on Saturday night, followed by a 6-3 win on the Comets’ home turf on Sunday.

The race for the final two spots in the playoff bracket was so close that the Ambush had to wait until the San Diego-Ontario game was completed Sunday night to find out if they had earned a postseason berth. San Diego won that match, thus eliminating Ontario from postseason play and cementing a spot for the Ambush.

Tickets for Friday’s match go on sale at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 4 at The Family Arena box office and ticketmaster.com. Fans can stay current on all Ambush news by visiting the team’s official website, stlambush.com and on social media outlets.
