AMBUSH BATTLE COMETS SUNDAY AT FAMILY ARENA

St. Charles, MO (December 12, 2019) – The St. Louis Ambush (0-3) and Kansas City Comets (1-1) continue their I-70 rivalry when the Comets come to town this Sunday, December 15 at 3:05 p.m. CST.

Sunday’s contest is the second of six meetings between the Ambush and Comets slated for the 2019-20 season. The Comets won the first match 6-4 when the two teams faced off November 30 at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence. Sunday’s match is the only one this weekend for each team.

Forwards Tony Walls and Duduca are the early point leaders for the Ambush (three each), while Duduca is the leader in goals with two. For the Comets, midfielder Kiel Williams is the points leader (four) and is tied with defender John Sosa for goals scored with two each.

Between the pipes, Comets goalkeeper Steven Hamersky has a 4.92 goals against average and a .730 save percentage. In goal for the Ambush, Paulo has a 5.88 GAA with a .712 save percentage. Given the opportunity, Paulo can also help on offense. He is one of only two goalkeepers in the MASL to score a goal thus far this season. He did so against the Comets in the November 30 duel.

Following Sunday’s game, the Ambush continue their home stand when they welcome the Tacoma Stars to the Family Arena Friday, December 27 at 7:35 p.m. CST. Following that match, the Comets return for a New Year’s Eve matinee affair on Tuesday, December 31 at 3:05 p.m. CST.
