Ambush Face Syracuse Twice this Weekend

St. Charles, MO (January 18, 2018) – The St. Louis Ambush face the Syracuse Silver Knights twice this weekend at the Family Arena. On Friday, January 19, the two teams clash at 7:35 p.m. CT, then on Sunday, January 21, the Ambush host the Silver Knights in a 3:05 p.m. match.

The Ambush are coming off a thrilling 7-5 come-from-behind victory over the Florida Tropics last Friday, while the Silver Knights dropped a close 5-4 contest to the Baltimore Blast the same night.

This weekend’s games are the first and second of four meetings between the Ambush and Silver Knights this season. The two teams will repeat this schedule the weekend of Friday, February 16 and Sunday, February 18 when they clash both times at the Oncenter War Memorial Arena in Syracuse, New York.

As busy as this weekend is for the Ambush, with two home games in three days, it’s an even more challenging weekend for Syracuse, with three road games in three days. The Silver Knights challenge the Ambush at the Family Arena on Friday, then they scurry to Milwaukee for a 12:05 p.m. matinee affair against the Wave on Saturday, then back to the Family Arena on Sunday for the 3:05 p.m. afternoon match.

Ambush forward Jerjer Gibson will see some familiar faces on the visitor’s bench this weekend. He appeared in 38 games with the Silver Knights during the past two seasons, before signing with the Ambush prior to the 2017-18 season.

A special treat for fans on Friday night at the Family Arena is the Fifth Annual Mascot Mania game at halftime. Over 20 mascots from local sports teams and businesses will participate in a soccer game at halftime.

On Sunday, Ambush players will wear special yellow jerseys in support of childhood cancer awareness, and will include an auction for the game-worn jerseys, with proceeds going to charity.
