Saint Charles, Missouri (February 8, 2024) – The St. Louis Ambush host the Tacoma Stars Saturday, February 10, 2024 at The Family Arena. That night will be a big one for fans, who will see a triple header of games. The Ambush and Stars collide at 6:05 p.m. CT. Tacoma won’t be the only stars at The Family Arena because Saturday is also Alumni Night. At halftime, alumni players from previous St. Louis Steamers, Storm and Ambush teams will participate in an alumni mini-game. Following the St. Louis-Tacoma match, the St. Louis Ambush 2 will host the Iowa Demon Hawks in a Major Arena Soccer League 2 contest.

Prior to the Ambush-Tacoma game, the alumni players will sign autographs on the Family Arena concourse. After the game, current Ambush players will sign autographs. The big evening promises a fair dose of nostalgia, player interaction and plenty of indoor soccer. Fans will also come away with the third in a series of Ambush posters, sponsored by Sumner One.

The Ambush are coming off two wins last weekend including Sunday’s thrilling overtime victory over Kansas City. They have won three of their last five games and are looking to build on that momentum. Tacoma plays Friday night against the Comets. They come into the weekend having lost two in a row and three of their last five games and will be hungry for a win.

Ahead of Saturday’s big night, the Ambush signed veteran goalkeeper Steven Hamersky for the rest of the season. Paulo Nascimento, the regular starter in goal for St. Louis, is nursing a back strain and the training and medical staff advised he sit out at least one game as a precautionary measure. Hamersky has spent time in the MASL with the Wichita B-52s (2014-15) and parts of four seasons with the Kansas City Comets from 2017 to 2022. He has also competed in the M2 division with the Wichita Wings from 2019 to 2022.

Following Saturday’s action at The Family Arena, the Ambush take to the road next weekend when they visit the Milwaukee Wave at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena Friday, February 16 at 6:35 p.m. CT. The next Ambush home game is slated for Sunday, February 25, when the two teams go at it again at 2:05 p.m. CT at The Family Arena.
