AMBUSH JOURNEY TO MARYLAND FRIDAY

Saint Charles, Missouri (January 3, 2024) – The St. Louis Ambush embark on their fourth road trip of the season when they travel to Towson, Maryland to clash with the Baltimore Blast at the TU Arena on Friday, January 5 at 6:35 p.m. CT.

Both teams have struggled thus far this season and are hungry for a victory. The Blast come into Friday’s contest in fifth place in the MASL Eastern Division with a 2-4-0 (wins-losses-overtime losses) record, while the Ambush are right behind them in the standings with a 1-5-1 record. Friday’s match is the first of two between the Ambush and Blast slated for the 2023-24 regular season.

In their most recent outing the Ambush fell 6-5 to the Kansas City Comets at home on New Year’s Eve. In the last game for Baltimore, they defeated the Harrisburg Heat 13-4 at home.

Offensively, the Ambush will be looking to forwards William Eskay (eight goals, three assists) and Robert Kristo (seven goals, three assists) while Billy Stimac has been the team’s leading playmaker with five assists. For the Blast, Moises Gonzalez and Josh Hughes are the team’s leading scorers with five goals each while Gonzalez and Juan Pereira lead in assists with five each.

Following Friday’s game, the Ambush return home to The Family Arena for back-to-back games January 12 and 13. On January 12, the Milwaukee Wave come to town for a 7:35 p.m. CT game, followed by a visit from Utica City FC on January 13 at 6:05 p.m. CT.

Both nights are also theme nights. The January 12 game is Five Acres Animal Night. Fans can purchase a ticket for their dog, bring their dog to the game and proceeds will go to the Five Acres Animal Shelter. The next night, January 13, is Family Night. Ambush players will walk out with their families during player introductions. January 13 is also Sumner One Poster Series night with poster #2 being handed out at the door and a postgame autograph session on the field.
