AMBUSH MAKE TRADE DEADLINE DEAL
St. Charles, MO
The St. Louis Ambush made a trade deadline deal, sending forward Corey Adamson to the Milwaukee Wave in exchange for Anthony Arico and cash considerations, team owner Andrew Haines announced this afternoon. Today is the MASL trade deadline.
Adamson was in his second season with the Ambush. Last season, he tallied eight goals and four assists and has seven goals and one assist thus far this season. Arico is in his rookie season with the Wave and has two goals, three assists and five blocks in 13 games played.
Haines said, “It’s hard to let go of a player with Corey’s talent and character. Since joining us last season, he has become a part of the Ambush family and the St. Louis community. Clearly, we need to make moves to improve our team for the rest of this season and next season and will continue to look for ways to do that. We are excited to have Anthony join our club and feel he will be a good fit and a key contributor.”
The Ambush return home to the Family Arena when they host the Missouri Comets next Friday, February 6 at 7:35 p.m. and Haines said he expects Arico to make his Ambush debut in that contest. That night, the current Ambush will honor the players and coaches of the original Ambush and the 2000-06 St. Louis Steamers when former players of both eras will take to the pitch for a halftime alumni game.
Prior to the February 6 clash between the Ambush and Comets, the Ambush will present a celebrity game kicking off at 5:45 p.m.
The first 5,000 fans in attendance February 6 will also receive a free Gordy Gurson poster, courtesy of Mercy, official medical provider of the St. Louis Ambush.
