The St. Louis Ambush will be in action at home and on the road on consecutive days this weekend. On Friday, November 27, the Ambush (0-2) host the Missouri Comets (5-0) at 7:05 p.m. at the Family Arena. The next night, the Ambush face the Chicago Mustangs (2-2) on the road at 7:05 p.m.

To say the Ambush face a daunting task when the Comets invade the Family Arena is not to demean the Ambush. The Comets have won 30 consecutive regular-season games, so they’ve proven to be hard to solve for every team they’ve encountered since their last regular-season loss on February 9, 2013. In the only meeting between the two teams thus far this season, the Comets earned a 10-3 win on November 20 in Independence.

Someone is going to break Missouri’s streak. Will the Ambush, hungry for their first win of the season and buoyed by their loyal fans, be the team to accomplish that task? The answer comes Friday night at the Family Arena.

Win or lose on Friday, the Ambush won’t have much time to ponder the results of that contest as they hit the road to face the Chicago Mustangs at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois less than 24 hours later. St. Louis has faced Chicago once this season, a 9-7 loss in the Ambush home opener on November 14.

Fans in attendance on Friday are in for a treat, as United States Naval Petty Officer, First Class, Retired, Generald Wilson will perform the National Anthem prior to the Ambush-Comets duel. Wilson was born and raised in St. Louis and has performed at over 80 sporting events across the country including MLB Playoffs and World Series, NFL games and NHL games. His renditions of the National Anthem have left crowds roaring wherever he has performed.

Following this weekend’s action, the Ambush journey to Milwaukee to tangle with the Wave on Sunday, December 6 at 2:05 p.m., then return home to the Family Arena to welcome the Tacoma Stars on Saturday, December 12 at 7:05 p.m. Season, group and single game tickets are now on sale for all remaining home games.
