St. Charles, MO – The St. Louis Ambush play at home and on the road this weekend, hosting the Baltimore Blast Friday night and visiting the Milwaukee Wave on Saturday. The contest against the Blast gets underway Friday at 7:35 p.m. at the Family Arena while the duel in Milwaukee kicks off at 6:05 p.m. Saturday.

The Blast come to town with a 14-3 record and have clinched the Eastern Division crown. The Blast and Ambush have met once this season, a 6-1 Blast blowout at the Family Arena December 30. The Ambush enter Friday’s contest having won their last three games and would love to continue on the momentum of those wins by handing Baltimore a loss in the last home game of the season for St. Louis.

Saturday’s match in Milwaukee is the fourth meeting between the Wave and Ambush this season. Milwaukee has prevailed in the three previous contests and the Ambush are aiming to close the season out strong by winning their season finale on the road. Milwaukee boasts an 11-7 record and has clinched a playoff berth.

In other news, Ambush midfielder Lucas Almeida received Honorable Mention from the MASL in the league’s Team of the Week Awards for Week 18 of the 2015-16 season. Almeida compiled a five point weekend, consisting of three goals and an assist in the 10-4 Ambush win over Detroit on Friday, then added another assist in the 7-4 victory over Cedar Rapids on Saturday.

In addition to being the final home game, February 26 is also Jamie Swanner Night, as the Ambush pay tribute to the legendary goalkeeper and the team’s current Goalkeeper Coach. At halftime, Swanner’s number 00 will be retired and a special banner with his number will hang inside the arena. Swanner is only the third player in St. Louis professional soccer history to have his number retired. The first was Slobo Ilijevski’s number 30 in 1994 and the second was Daryl Doran’s number 7 in 2006. The first 5,000 fans in attendance February 26 will receive a free Jamie Swanner poster.

Individual and group tickets are available for the February 26 home finale. Call the Ambush office at 636-477-6363 for more information.
