St. Charles, MO – The St. Louis Ambush play two home games this weekend as they host the Detroit Waza Flo Friday night at 7:35 p.m. and the Cedar Rapids Rampage Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. at the Family Arena in St. Charles.

Friday’s contest is the only one between the Ambush and Waza Flo this season. The last time these two teams met was last season on January 31, 2015. The Ambush won that duel, 6-5.

The Ambush and Rampage have met twice this season, both times in Cedar Rapids. Cedar Rapids took a 9-7 win on December 19, then St. Louis turned the tables and pulled off a 10-7 victory on February 13.

Depending on who Cedar Rapids Head Coach Jeff Kraft picks to play on Saturday several former Ambush players could make their return to the Family Arena pitch. Gordy Gurson, Bobby Hurwitz, Blake Ordell and Jeff Richey are the familiar faces who are now part of the Rampage roster. Another familiar face on the Cedar Rapids squad is Carlos “Chile” Farias, who appeared in 39 games with the St. Louis Steamers during the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons.

After Saturday, the Ambush have only one home game and one road game remaining on the 2015-16 schedule. Next Friday, February 26, 2016 is Jamie Swanner Night, when the Ambush honor the great goalkeeper and the team’s current goalkeeper coach, Jamie Swanner. The Ambush host the Baltimore Blast in the final home game of the season at 7:35 p.m. that night. At halftime, Swanner’s number 00 will be retired and a special banner with his number will hang inside the arena. Swanner is only the third player in St. Louis professional soccer history to have his number retired. The first was Slobo Ilijevski’s number 30 in 1994 and the second was Daryl Doran’s number 7 in 2006.

The Ambush conclude the season on the road when they battle the Milwaukee Wave Saturday, February 27 at 6:05 p.m.

Group and single game tickets are now on sale for all remaining home games. Call the Ambush office at 636-477-6363 for more information.
