AMBUSH PLAYERS NASCIMENTO, TORREALBA EARN MASL WEEKLY HONORS

St. Charles, Missouri (February 24, 2026) – St. Louis Ambush goalkeeper Paulo Nascimento has earned Goalkeeper of the Week honor and forward Daniel Torrealbba has been named Offensive Player of the Week for Week 13 of the 2025-26 Major Arena Soccer League season. The Ambush played three games during Week 13, defeating Utica City FC on February 16 and on February 21, then edging the Milwaukee Wave out of first place with a win on February 22.

In the high scoring game of professional indoor soccer, shutouts are rare but Paulo did his part in goal on February 21 to help post the first-ever Ambush shutout in franchise history, a 13-0 win over Utica City FC. It was also the first shutout of Paulo’s stellar career. Nascimento also currently lead the MASL in goals against average (4.53), save percentage (.738), saves (194) and is tied for the league lead in wins with nine.

Torrealba played in all three games during Week 13, tallying five goals and four assists. He currently leads the team in goals scored (20), points (28) and points per game average (1.6) Daniel also ranks fourth in the MASL in goals scored.

The weekly MASL awards are voted on by the league and its member teams, recognizing players’ in-game achievements.

Week 13’s three wins helped propel the Ambush to first place in the MASL and they will be looking to solidify a playoff spot when the season continues this weekend. The Ambush will be back at home at The Family Arena for a two-game series against the Baltimore Blast Friday and Sunday. First kick on Friday, February 27 is slated for 7:05 p.m. CST, then Sunday’s rematch gets under way at 2:05 p.m. CST.
