St. Charles, MO – The St. Louis Ambush have announced a new, three-year lease with the Family Arena that will keep the team playing at the St. Charles facility through the 2018-19 season. The joint announcement was made by Ambush CEO Andrew Haines and Joe Cronin, Chairman of the St. Charles County Council, prior to the Ambush game at the Family Arena January 29. St. Charles County owns the Family Arena.

The Ambush are the main tenant at the Family Arena and the most successful sports franchise, in terms of attendance, to call the venue home. The Ambush have been third in the league in both average and total attendance since the team’s inception in 2013. “The Family Arena has been a great facility for us,” Haines said, “and we’re happy to call it home for the next three seasons and more after that. We plan to be here a long time.”

Haines said the Family Arena offers numerous benefits for the team and their fans including:

Accessibility

The Family Arena is easily accessible from Interstate 70 or Route 364 (the Page Extension). The Family Arena is just 1.5 miles from Interstate 70 and less than a mile from Route 364. It’s easy to get to from just about anywhere in St. Louis or St. Charles.

Convenient Parking

There are approximately 3,500 parking spaces on a lighted surface lot adjacent to the Family Arena. Handicapped parking is available in the southwest corner of the arena lot. Fans don’t have to contend with multi-level garages, parking meters, one-way streets or walk miles from their parking spot to the arena.

Affordability

By playing at the Family Arena, the Ambush have been able to keep ticket prices affordable for the fans. Individual Game ticket prices have remained the same since 2013; something unheard of in today’s economy.

Practices

The team is able to practice at the Family Arena several times during the season, which is a huge plus. Many teams practice several miles from their home arena and don’t get a chance to play on the same arena turf until game day.

The Ambush are back in action tonight (January 30) at the Family Arena when they host the Baltimore Blast at 7:05 p.m. Tonight is also “90s Night” with players from the original St. Louis Ambush and the 2000-06 St. Louis Steamers on hand to sign autographs on the concourse from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. At halftime, alumni players will take the pitch once again for an Alumni Game.

Following Saturday’s game, the Ambush will take to the road for two games when they visit the Tacoma Stars on February 5 and the Cedar Rapids Rampage on February 13. The Ambush return home to the Family Arena when they host the Waza Flo on Friday, February 19 at 7:35 p.m.

Group and single game tickets are now on sale for all remaining home games. Call the Ambush office at 636-477-6363 for more information.
