St. Charles, MO (December 20, 2018) – The St. Louis Ambush (2-2) travel across Missouri to challenge the Kansas City Comets (1-3) this Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 7:05 p.m. CST at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence.

Saturday’s match is the second of three consecutive games between the two teams. The first duel between the Ambush and Comets ended in a thrilling 6-5 overtime win for the Ambush in their home opener Sunday at the Family Arena. These cross-state and division rivals will clash a total of six times this season.

Thus far this season, the Ambush offense has been bolstered by Mario Marcos (four goals), Zach Reget (four goals), Jerjer Gibson (three goals, one assist) and Magui (one goal, three assists).

For the Comets, perennial scoring machine Leo Gibson is doing what everyone expects Leo Gibson to do. He has posted five goals and eight assists in four games played. Other offensive leaders for Kansas City are Ignacio Flores (five goals, two assists) and Adam James (two goals and four assists).

Both the Comets and Ambush have talented goalkeepers minding the nets. Brett Petricek has compiled a 7.36 goals against average and a .689 save percentage in four appearances for the Comets, while Paulo has a 4.73 GAA and .773 save percentage in the one game he has played thus far this season for the Ambush.

Following Saturday’s battle in Independence, the Ambush and Comets will square off again at the Family Arena on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 7:05 p.m. CST. In honor of Corey Adamson’s game-winning overtime goal on December 16, the Ambush are offering a “Adamson 4-Pack, 4 for $40” ticket special for the December 29 game.  The 4-pack offer is good only through December 27.
