AMBUSH VISIT COMETS SUNDAY

by Jim Fossell

St. Charles, Missouri (December 1, 2023) – The St. Louis Ambush travel across Missouri to face their cross-state rivals, the Kansas City Comets on Sunday, December 3 at 4:05 p.m. CT. at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence.

The contest is the second of the young season for each team and the first away game for the Ambush. St. Louis dropped a nail-biter in their home opener when they fell 2-1 to the Milwaukee Wave in overtime on Black Friday. Kansas City won their home opener when they defeated Milwaukee 9-3 on November 26.

Sunday’s match is the first of six between the Ambush and Comets slated for the 2023-24 regular season. The two teams met six times last season with Kansas City winning four of those duels.

There is a fair amount of familiarity between these two Missouri clubs. Three players on the Comets roster previsouly had stints with the Ambush while four current St. Louis players previously played for Kansas City.
