Ambush Win Exhibition Contest Against Atletico

St. Charles, MO (October 28, 2017) – The St. Louis Ambush continued to get ready for the upcoming 2017-18 MASL season when they faced St. Louis Club Atletico in an exhibition contest Saturday night at Vetta Sports St. Charles. The game was a charity match to benefit the Kids 4 Kids organization.

The Ambush took a 5-1 lead in the first half on goals from Richard Schmermund, two by Jerjer Gibson and two from Danny Berko.

The second half saw Lucas Almeida set up three restart goals, one by Kory Dowell, one by Schmermund and one by Corey Adamson. Schmermund tallied another in the half to complete the hat trick and Carlos Contreras found the back of the net twice. The Atletico scored once in the second half and the Ambush came away with an 11-2 win.

The Ambush open their 2017-18 schedule on the road when they travel across the state to square off against Central Division rival Kansas City Comets Saturday, November 4 at 7:05 p.m. at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence. The Ambush kick off the home portion of the new season when they host the Milwaukee Wave on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 7:05 p.m. CT at the Family Arena. November 11 is also Veterans Day, and the Ambush will recognize our Veterans during the game. The 2017-18 season will be the fifth for the franchise, who has called the Family Arena home since 2013.
