CALIFORNIA, HERE WE COME

by Jim Fossell

Saint Charles, Missouri (January 26, 2024) – The St. Louis Ambush journey to the west coast for a pair of games this weekend. They visit the San Diego Sockers Saturday, January 27 at 9:05 p.m. CT at the Pechanga Arena San Diego, then face the Empire Strykers Sunday January 28 at 6:05 p.m. CT at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California. The Ambush come into the weekend with a 2-7-2 (wins-losses-overtime losses) record while San Diego is 7-1-0 and Empire is 2-8-0.

Saturday’s duel is the only on between St. Louis and San Diego scheduled for the 2023-24 regular season. Sunday’s match in Ontario is the second of two meetings between the Ambush and Strykers. The Strykers won the first encounter between the two teams by the score of 8-7 on December 9 at The Family Arena.

The Ambush are coming off an impressive 8-3 win over the Baltimore Blast last Saturday at The Family Arena. They are looking to ride that momentum into this road trip and improve their season record as the halfway point of the season approaches.

After this weekend’s action in California, the Ambush return to The Family Arena for three consecutive home games. The Harrisburg Heat come to town on February 2, followed by the Kansas City Comets on February 4 and the Tacoma Stars on February 10.
