DUDUCA CARVALHO RETURNS TO ST. LOUIS AMBUSH
St. Charles, Missouri (September 12, 2024) – Eduardo Mota De Carvalho, better known by his nickname “Duduca” is returning to action for the 2024-25 season. The St. Louis Ambush signed Duduca to a five-year deal, the team announced today.
The 2024-25 season is Carvalho’s fifth in the Major Arena Soccer League and with the Ambush. Carvalho came to the United States from his native Brazil for the 2019-20 season and played with the Ambush through the 2022-23 season. He sat out the 2023-24 season due to visa issues, which have finally been resolved. Duduca won the MASL Rookie of the Year award for the 2019-20 season, when he ranked second on the team in both goals (20) and and assists (nine). In 59 career MASL regular-season games, Carvalho tallied 43 goals and 27 assists.
Ambush co-owner, General Manager and Head Coach Jeff Locker said, “It’s been a long road making Duduca’s comeback a reality, but we know he’s as excited to return to action and contribute to our success as we are to have him back.”
Duduca said, “I am very happy to be able to play with my teammates again. To be able to feel the atmosphere of The Family Arena again. And finally, to be able to see the fans again! I am confident that we will do great things this season.”
The Ambush will kick off their twelfth season when they take the field for their home opener at The Family Arena on Black Friday, November 29. Season tickets are now on sale.
