by Jim Fossell

St. Charles, MO (June 9, 2017) – Free agent goalkeeper Marcel Feenstra will join 29 other Major Arena Soccer League players in the International Challenge game on Friday, June 16 at 7:35 p.m. at the Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri. The special exhibition contest will showcase stars from across the MASL squaring off in a “US versus the World” format. Feenstra will play on the World team in the game.

Feenstra is a native of Den Helder, Holland and is an ten-year indoor soccer veteran. He spent nine seasons with the Milwaukee Wave. When the Wave captured the 2010-11 MISL Championship, Feenstra garnered the 2011 championship MVP honor. “Dutchie” was a finalist for MISL Goalkeeper of the Year the following season.  Feenstra was a late-season addition to the Florida Tropics roster last season and compiled a 6.91 goals against average and .660 save percentage in three games for the Tropics. His career win-loss record is a very respectable 60-18.
