GORDY GURSON IS MASL FANS CHOICE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

It’s been a good week for St. Louis Ambush forward Gordy Gurson. On Wednesday, he was named to the Major Arena Soccer League’s Team of the Week. Today, the league announced that Gurson had been selected the Fans Choice Player of the Week.

Each week, MASL fans select, via online voting, the Player of the Week from those players named to the Team of the Week.

Gurson tallied three goals in St. Louis’ 6-5 overtime loss to the Tacoma Stars on December 12. He leads the Ambush in goals (9) and points (10). The 2014-15 MASL Rookie of the Year is in his second season with the Ambush. He was a member of the US team that won the WMF Arena Soccer World Cup Championship. In that tournament, Gurson registered two goals and three assists in six appearances.

Gurson and the Ambush are back in action this Saturday, December 19, when they square off with the Cedar Rapids Rampage at 7:05 p.m. at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
