St. Louis Ambush forwards Elvir Kafedzic and Blake Ordell have received “honorable mention” from the MASL in the league’s Team of the Week awards for week 14 of the 2014-15 season.

The Ambush split a pair of games during week 14, defeating the Tulsa Revolution 11-5 on Friday, January 23 and losing a 9-8 nail-biter to Wichita on Saturday, January 24. Kafedzic tallied four goals and two assists in those games, while Ordell contributed three goals and one assist, including a spectacular long goal on a shot from the defensive end in Friday’s game.

Kafedzic has 11 goals and 11 assists in 13 games played on the season, while Ordell has 12 goals and four assists in 12 appearances.

The Ambush close out the month of January with back-to-back games on the road this Friday and Saturday. On Friday, the team visits the Farm Show Arena in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for the season’s only clash with the Harrisburg Heat. On Saturday, the Ambush take on the Detroit Waza Flo at the Melvindale Ice Arena in Melvindale, Michigan.

Only two home games remain in the 2014-15 season. The Ambush return home to the Family Arena when they host the Missouri Comets on Friday, February 6 at 7:35 p.m. That night, the current Ambush will honor the players and coaches of the original Ambush and the 2000-06 St. Louis Steamers when former players of both eras will take to the pitch for a halftime alumni game.
