MAJOR ARENA SOCCER LEAGUE ADDS TO FRONT OFFICE AHEAD OF 2019-2020 SEASON

by Jeff Husted

KANSAS CITY, MO (September 5, 2019) – With the 2019-2020 Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) schedule set to kick-off in November, commissioner Joshua Schaub announced several additions to his staff. Jeff Menard and Jesse Meehan are new to the MASL while Jeff Husted joins the staff full-time after working for the past three years in a part-time role.

Jeff Menard, Director of Corporate Partnerships began consulting with the MASL towards the end of the 2018-2019 season. This offseason he has been working hard to promote the MASL to business and corporate sponsors in an effort to increase the league’s national and regional partnership opportunities. Menard has extensive experience with sports partnerships. For nearly the past twenty years he has been working with IMG College and Cumulus media to secure partnerships for the San Francisco Giants, 49ers, Earthquakes, Cal Bears and Stanford Cardinal.

Jesse Meehan, Operations Manager has spent the better part of the previous two decades providing outsourced administrative, COO, and CFO services to various for-profit and non-profit organizations in, and outside of, the sports industry. During that time, he's used his wealth of accumulated knowledge and detailed follow-through to help small to midsize companies grow more efficiently and effectively.

Jeff Husted, Director of Digital Content and Media/Public Relations has been working with the MASL since the 2016-2017 season on a part-time basis to manage the league’s social media assets, media relations and game broadcasts. Husted has joined the staff in a full-time role as the league is expanding efforts across all mediums and looking to increase the broadcast reach of the arena game.

“As the game grows, so do the responsibilities of our staff,” said Schaub. “Bringing on additional staff will help us achieve our established goals and continue to raise our standards of service in a manner that our member teams and our fans expect.”

All three new additions are already hard at work to prepare for the 2019-2020 season. The MASL will kick off the weekend of November 22 with teams playing across North America in Canada, the United States and Mexico. The full 2019-2020 MASL schedule is expected to be announced later this month. For more information about the MASL and your favorite team, visit MASLSoccer.com.
