KANSAS CITY (May 2, 2017) – The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL), in cooperation with the St. Louis Ambush, announced a special summer exhibition match to be held Friday, June 16th at the Family Arena in St. Charles, MO. The match, scheduled for a 7:35 p.m. CT kickoff, will feature players and All-Stars from across the league in a USA vs The World format.

Every MASL team will have the opportunity to nominate their players for this match and the International Challenge committee will select the rosters. On May 15th,the MASL will announce the first players to participate in this exhibition, with more players announced throughout the month.

This will be the second straight year for the International Series. In 2016, the Ontario Fury hosted an exhibition match between the USA All-Stars vs Mexico that saw a sold-out crowd of over 7,000 fans.

Speaking of last year’s game, the San Diego Sockers’ captain Kraig Chiles said, “It was fantastic. I think it’s good for the league. I think all the players want to play in front of crowds like that. And I think all in all, I think it was a fantastic night for the MASL.”

Leading up to this year’s International Challenge, the Ambush will host the 2017 MASL Player Combine. Potential players from all over will have the chance to work out in front of coaches and team representatives from across the league, and have the chance to earn an invite to a preseason MASL camp. The full schedule and fan information for the MASL Player Combine will be released in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the MASL International All-Star Challenge will go on sale May 8th at 10:00 a.m. CT. Prices start at $12, with group prices starting at $10. To purchase visit Metrotix.com or call the St. Louis Ambush ticket office at 636.477.6363.
