KANSAS CITY (August 17, 2018) – The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today their continued partnership with Mitre brands headed into the 2018-2019 season. First introduced last season, Mitre will continue to provide the official training and match balls for both the MASL and MASL2 (M2).

“We’re excited to continue this partnership with Mitre for the upcoming season,” said MASL Commissioner Joshua Schaub. “The Astro Division ball was well-received throughout the league last year and the addition of the custom MASL Match ball for this season will only serve to enhance our game both on the field and visually through our other media.”

The Astro Division ball, used throughout the season last season, will be the official training ball for all 17 teams of the MASL and every M2 team.

Games will be played with the all new Mitre MASL Match ball. The ball is custom-made for the MASL and is specifically designed to perform on arena soccer surfaces. The yellow ball features the signatures of MASL Commissioner Joshua Schaub and Arena Soccer icon, Earl Foreman.

“Mitre is a leading football brand worldwide and we’re excited to continue our partnership with MASL and are passionate about the game at all levels, said Head of Sports Marketing for Teamsports Simon Rowe.  “Mitre continues to lead the way in football development as we are obsessed with everything related to ball technology. We’re delighted to be an Official Ball Supplier of MASL and look forward to the new season”.

Mitre will work with the MASL and its member teams to distribute and market the league and league-branded items direct to consumers through team sales, e-commerce and retail outlets.

The 2018-2019 MASL Season kicks off in December with teams from the United States, Canada and Mexico. Each team’s full 24-game schedule will be released this Fall.
