SINCLAIR, ALMEIDA EARN HONORABLE MENTION IN TEAM OF WEEK AWARDS

St. Charles, MO — St. Louis Ambush forward Odaine Sinclair and midfielder Lucas Almeida each earned “Honorable Mention” from the Major Arena Soccer League in the organization’s weekly Team of the Week awards for week 15 of the 2015-16 regular season. Although the Ambush lost their January 29 duel with the Chicago Mustangs in overtime, Sinclair and Almeida each tallied four goals in that contest.

The 2015-16 season is Sinclair’s third with the Ambush. His rookie season (2013-14) was a successful one. He led the team in goals (12) and assists (12) on his way to capturing the MISL Rookie of the Year award. He appeared in all 20 games for the Ambush during the 2014-15 season, tallying 13 goals and 12 assists. He currently leads the team in goals (nine), assists (10) and points (19).

This season is Almeida’s first with St. Louis and his second in professional indoor soccer. Last season, he registered 42 points, consisting of 23 goals and 19 assists, as a member of the Tulsa Revolution. He is currently tied for second on the Ambush in goals scored (eight) and is second in assists (five) and in points (13).

The Ambush will take to the road for two games when they visit the Tacoma Stars this Friday, February 5 and the Cedar Rapids Rampage on Saturday, February 13. The Ambush return home to the Family Arena when they host the Waza Flo on Friday, February 19 at 7:35 p.m.
