AMBUSH FACE RIVAL COMETS ON THE ROAD FRIDAY
St. Charles, Missouri (February 11, 2021) – The St. Louis Ambush (4-5) travel across the state to battle the Kansas City Comets (2-4) Friday, February 12 at 7:00 p.m. CST at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence.
The Ambush are looking to bounce back from a rough weekend that saw a dozen players sidelined with illness, injuries or being quarantined. Medical staff is evaluating the situation and hopes to have several players cleared to return to action against the Comets. In addition to returning players, the Ambush made two moves to help bolster the roster, acquiring forward Jerjer Gibson and defender William Eskay on loan from the Harrisburg Heat, who has opted out of the 2021 season.
The Ambush and Comets have met once thus far this season, with the Ambush scoring the winning goal with less than two minutes remaining in the game on January 16 at the Family Arena. The Comets will enter Friday’s match hoping to capitalize on the momentum of winning their last match, 5-3 over the San Diego Sockers on January 29 to snap a four-game losing skid. The Ambush are looking to get back in the win column after losing a pair of games to the Fury last weekend.
Following Friday’s clash with the Comets, the Ambush return home for a two-game series against the San Diego Sockers on Friday, February 26 at 7:35 p.m. CST and Sunday, February 28 at 3:05 p.m. CST at the Axius Field at the Family Arena. February 26 is also Retro Night with the Ambush wearing 1979 St. Louis Steamers replica kits and the Sockers wearing corresponding throwback kits of their own from the era. Alumni players who have played for previous Steamers, Storm and Ambush professional clubs are also invited to this game and will be provided with two complimentary tickets per player by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tickets for upcoming home games are available at the Family Arena box office or online at ticketmaster.com. All Ambush games can also be viewed online at Facebook Live PPV. Fans can stay current on all Ambush news by visiting the team’s official website, stlambush.com or on social media outlets.
