TWO AMBUSH PLAYERS NAMED TO MASL TEAM OF THE WEEK

St. Charles, Missouri (January 13, 2021) – St. Louis Ambush goalkeeper Paulo Nascimento and forward Max Ferdinand have been named to the Major Arena Soccer League’s Team of the Week for Week Two of the 2021 season.

The Ambush played one game during Week Two, defeating the Dallas Sidekicks 6-5 on Saturday, January 9. Ferdinand notched four assists in the match and is tied for first in the league in the assists category. Paulo made 20 saves in 25 save opportunities in the contest, for an impressive .800 save percentage. He presently ranks second in the league in goals against average (5.33) and in save percentage (.719) on the season.

The Ambush are back in action this weekend when they host the Kansas City Comets in the Ambush home opener this Saturday, January 16 at 7:05 p.m. CST at the Family Arena.  After Saturday’s duel, the Ambush continue their January home stand when the Tacoma Stars invade the Family Arena on Sunday, January 24 at 5:05 p.m. CST. The month concludes with two games at the Family Arena against the Florida Tropics, on January 29 and 31.
